The annual Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Breakfast, sponsored by the Black Faculty, Staff, and Administrators Association, drew students, faculty, and staff to the Heights Room at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 16. “Too often commemorating King means only remembering the parts of him that do not challenge us—the parts that make us comfortable,” said associate professor of French Régine Michelle Jean-Charles (above) in her keynote talk. “May we choose to move beyond the dream and do the work of building a better world.”
