Psalter
From the town of Auxerre, southwest of Paris, c. 1335, this psalter
contains 128 leaves of vellum. In its way, it spans the ages -- its binding
is late-15th century; its flyleaf bears handwritten notations from
the 17th and 18th centuries. The text includes a calendar, prayers,
daily psalms, and hymns, accompanied by musical notation throughout.
