The Boston College Alumni Association has made a $1 million commitment
to the Ever to Excel Campaign. The donation represents the largest
gift ever made to the University by the Alumni Association. It will
create the Alumni Association Endowment for Student Retreat and
Volunteer Programs, which will support student participation in
University programs such as Appalachia Volunteers and the Kairos
Retreat. "BC graduates hold onto the Jesuit ideal, 'men and women
for others,' and this gift will help BC students continue that tradition,"
said Alumni Association president William J. Cunningham '57.
