In
all, 850 freshmen (nearly 40 percent of the class) occupy
the Newton Campus's four residence halls this year. When the
doors opened on August 27 to receive them and their possessionsand
their parents, siblings, and close relationsBCM
was there taking family photos.
The 2,208 members of Boston College's
Class of 2007 emerged from a pool of 22,424 applicants. They
hail from 46 states, two U.S. territories, and 34 foreign
countries. Sixty-nine percent are enrolled in the College
of Arts & Sciences. The combined SAT range for the middle
50 percent1260 to 1390is the highest in the University's
history.
