It is interesting to note James Carville’s assertion that since Christ did not mention any place in scripture a concern about homosexual unions that he, therefore, must be OK with it. This is ludicrous at best. Christ did not mention anything about racism or slave ownership, are we to assume this is was acceptable to Christ? Mr. Carville sounds like a devotee of “Sola Scriptura”–if it isn’t in the Bible I don’t believe it. Catholics have scripture and the teachings of the Church based on “Sacred Tradition” to guide us Apparently this concept is not part of the buffet line in Mr. Carville’s self-identification as a ‘Cafeteria Catholic’.
